Pacing & Arrhythmia Services at NEOCS

Melanie T. Gura, RN, MSN, CNS, FHRS, FAHA Director, Pacemaker and Arrhythmia Services

Cardiac arrhythmias, or abnormal heartbeats, are extremely common. Patients often experience feelings of irregular or extra heartbeats, palpitations, breathlessness, weakness, fainting, or no symptoms at all. Some cardiac arrhythmias can be dangerous or deadly, with the first presentation being sudden cardiac arrest. New technologies have been developed to identify patients that are at risk for serious cardiac arrhythmias.
