Congratulations to Louann on receiving the 2009 AANP Nurse Practitioner State Award for Excellence. This prestigious award is given annually to a dedicated nurse practitioner in each state who demonstrates excellence in their area of practice. Louann will be honored during the 2009 AANP National Conference held in Nashville, TN, June 17-21, 2009.
Louann earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Kent State University as well as her post-master's degree for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner's Program. Louann is board certified in Acute Care.
Louann has received awards for clinical excellence and continues to be very involved in local and national nursing associations. Currently she is president of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.
Louann is a well known lecturer and educator and speaks frequently for professional and community groups.
Louann has the heart of a teacher and shares her time between NEOCS and being a faculty instructor for the Adult Nurse Practitioner Program at Kent State University. She also finds time to volunteer for OPEN M.
