Dr. Bauman completed his internship and residency at Cleveland Metro General Hospital and was a Major in the US Air Force from 1975-1977. His fellowship was completed at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1979.

He is Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Summa Health Systems and is a professor of Internal Medicine at NEOUCOM.

Dr. Bauman was voted a 'Best Doctor in Northeast Ohio' in 1998 and again in 2008. Dr. Bauman also received the 'Elite Patient Service' award in 2008. This service excellence award is based on patient satisfaction scores.
