Dr. Heupler is board certified in Internal Medicine with The American Board of Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, and is certified in Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Council of Nuclear Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of Board of Trustees for the Ohio Chapter of ACC. He was awarded with the William E. Lower Fellowship thesis prize for clinical research while a Cardiology Fellow at The Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Heupler is currently Co-Director of the NEOCS Nuclear Testing Program. He is married with three children.
